I was excited when “Nosferatu” was first announced to hit theaters premiering in December 2024. I can’t remember when I first found out, but I knew it was coming on Christmas Day. I enjoy a good story, and I knew this was going to be good and when my wife and I saw it in theaters it did not disappoint. From the acting, to the directing, the visuals, and the jump scares, I thought it to be fantastic.

Weeks prior to the film’s release, driven by my giddiness, I began writing original music. The first 3 songs were written before I watched the film. I deliberately avoided listening to the original soundtrack score so it wouldn’t taint my work.

Before beginning the 4th and final track “Death” I saw the film, and then my mother’s older brother, Uncle Donald, passed away. I intended the final track to be a crescendo, but it ended up being a reflection of my emotional state. It is my favorite track on the album.
